Coaching for a
Challenging Situation at Work
A SIX MONTH ONE-TO-ONE
EXECUTIVE COACHING PROGRAMME
A dynamic programme of one-to-one coaching for leaders and managers who want to:
I’ve faced challenging situations at work myself. I know how it feels and I understand the demands and the opportunities.
You’ve probably read helpful resources such as The First 100 Days, The Seven Habits, Managing what Matters, and Start with Why. These provide valuable insights, but you want to understand their implications specifically for you. Applying them to your unique situation and staying consistent can be difficult.
Your organisation may have a robust leadership framework and values that guide how you should be at work. Internal coaching might also be available. Yet implementing these guidelines may not address your actual concerns or the challenges you face. They might not match your specific agenda in a way that works for you.
You may have watched how others do it, with some people in your organisation appearing to find this effortless. You’ve considered emulating them or using celebrity leaders as role-models. But you question some of their values. Ultimately, you sense they aren’t like you, don’t suit your style, and may not fully support your goals.
You’ve dealt with challenges before. Now, it’s time to learn from those experiences and develop new strategies for greater success.
Find a reliable sounding board — someone who provides space, time, and understanding for dealing with a demanding role.
If something’s lacking — a more effective approach or behaviour — seek honest and compassionate guidance. This enables you to explore and act on the situation.
An ally is crucial, but not an unquestioning one. They must be supportive, perceptive, credible and independent.
Reflect out loud on significant issues or uncertainties. This is a safe and stimulating environment to test your ideas, worries and aspirations.
Feeling bogged down in details? Get help to look at the bigger picture, considering both long-term and short-term aspects, as well as the immediate demands you’re facing.
Unlock your personal development, particularly essential soft skills like leadership, motivation, resilience, balance, and influence.
Explore how to reconcile other people’s agendas with your own objectives and wider responsibilities, effectively navigating any conflicts that emerge.
Embrace a bespoke mix of support and challenge, enabling you to confidently plan your next steps without hesitation or fear of getting it wrong.

An old adage suggests that the best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago. And that the second best time is now.
But busy careers can get in the way of our own development, making it crucial to recognise when the right influence and catalyst comes along.
When people come to coaching they often say they felt like a coiled spring, filled with energy they wanted to direct purposefully and powerfully towards something important.
Or they describe it as having heard the starting gun a while ago, but hadn’t known how to start the race properly.
One client described it as like having a klaxon blaring, something that they couldn’t ignore any longer, telling them: now is the time to act, to stop being a passenger on the roller-coaster and to take control.
Another popular saying goes, “Time is luck.”

Always willing to go the extra mile for his clients, I would highly recommend Nick for your coaching and development needs.
Fantastic coach! I’ve genuinely enjoyed coaching sessions with Nick, as part of a leadership programme. He’s an excellent listener and asks thought provoking questions to stimulate discussion. If you’re in need of time for self-reflection, then I highly recommend working with him. Thanks for all your help Nick!
