Short’n’Factual
I’m 45 years old, married to Jenny, have a son Alex and live in Altrincham just south of Manchester.
I’ve been coaching for over a decade now, am a former chartered accountant, have an MBA with commendation from Cass business school (formerly CUBS) and am a Certified Professional Coach.
Before becoming a coach, I worked in senior Finance, Business Planning and Project Director jobs in some of the UK’s largest companies and I also set-up, grew and eventually sold my own small international consultancy business.
In my spare time I am the Chairperson for the Cheshire branch of the Institute of Directors in the North West and am a Non-Executive Director on the board of Trafford Healthcare NHS Trust.
A Bit More Juicy
I’m driven, arrogant, love life, like being the centre of attention and make a charismatic leader. I like taking radical directions, like to bend the rules (but hate it when other people do!), am highly individual, sensual, egotistical, stand up for what I believe in, have bags of natural energy, willpower, charm and humour.
I can read most people without even trying and often come across as very intelligent - I am, but am usually running more on instinct. I’m a strong humanitarian and like interacting with other people but haven’t quite found a way to save the world yet. I hate being ‘controlled’ in any way and this often makes me poor at getting on with people I perceive as being in authority.
I take my energy and endurance for granted and often end up overstretched – and do the same with others. I get impatient and frequently loose emotional connection with people who don’t move as fast or stay the course as well as I do.
I’m an • Enneagram type 8 • and really love coaching with other type 8’s.
